Wasaka Museum is a place that stores the history of the struggle of the people of South Kalimantan. The name “Wasaka” is an abbreviation of “Waja ke Kaputing,” which means unwavering spirit. The museum is located in a traditional Banjarmasin house with a distinctive architecture in the form of a high roof.
Inside the museum, visitors can see a collection of photographs of the struggle, weapons, typewriters, and combat uniforms used during the colonial period. One of the valuable artifacts is the text of the proclamation of the struggle of the people of South Kalimantan which was made in 1949.
