3. Sweet Water Beach
Air Manis Beach, located in Padang City, is famous for the legend of Malin Kundang which is very legendary among the people.
According to folklore, Malin Kundang was a disobedient child who was cursed to turn into stone because he did not acknowledge his mother after becoming rich. Until now, the large rock located near the beach is believed to be the rock where Malin Kundang was cursed.
